Funeral services for Mr. Lewis Rosenfeld will be held Friday, September 29, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Congregation Beth Israel with Rabbi Barry Altman officiating. Burial will follow in the Congregation Beth Israel Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Rosenfeld, age 90, of Meridian passed away, Wednesday, September 27, 2017, in Jackson, MS.

Mr. Rosenfeld held many civic positions in the community; he served as President of the Meridian Chamber of Commerce, Mississippi Retail Merchants Association, Meridian Merchants Association, and Meridian Camera Club. He was Chairman of the Meridian Regional Airport Board. He was a board member of the United Way, Meridian Symphony and the Meridian Museum of Art. He was Secretary, Treasurer and Editor/Publisher of The Voice of Congregation Beth Israel. He was owner of Kay’s Inc. and is a Veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 65 + years, Morele K. Rosenfeld; children, Karen R. (Harry) Kleinman and David (Karen) Rosenfeld; and two grandchildren, Lindsey and Eric Rosenfeld.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Martha Rosenfeld.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Congregation Beth Israel, P.O. Box 3456, Meridian, MS 39303 and the United Way of Lauderdale County.

Pallbearers will be Dr. Gary Boone, Jay Davidson, Marty Davidson, Robert Glazer, Dr. Perry Goodman, and Dr. Thomas Greer. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Wes Bennett, Dr. Robert Clark, Eugene Damon, Robert Deen and William Phillips.
