Linda Ann Jones

Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Ann Jones will begin at 3:00 PM Friday, April 24, 2026, at Chunky Baptist Church with the Reverends Hal Bates and Charles Moore officiating. The Jones Family will receive guests from 1:00 PM until 2:45 PM prior to funeral rites in the church. Interment will follow graveside rites at Chunky Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Jones, 71, of Chunky passed away Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Baptist Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Linda was a loving wife, mother, Mamaw, and friend to many. She was a cosmetologist with a career spanning over 50 years; her clients were her pride and joy. She loved traveling with her family to the beach, and shopping ‘til she dropped. She could always be found following her grandkids in all their academic and athletic events, from the annual banquet and graduations to football, baseball, softball, basketball, soccer, cheer, volleyball, tennis, and golf, she was always there with her stats books and camera in hand. In her spare time, she enjoyed making scrap books for all her grandkids, creating memories of their milestones. Linda was a Christian by faith and was a member of Chunky Baptist Church where she was active in the Joyful Seekers Sunday School Class.

Linda is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Donald Jones; children, Brandi Etheridge (Joey), Candi Thrash (Ronnie), and Dusty Jones (Kara); grandchildren, Jodi Etheridge, Ty Thrash, Kelsey Tibbetts, Cooper Thrash, Mallory Etheridge, Parker Jones, Bo Etheridge, and Lulu Etheridge; her aunt, Charlotte Abel (Bill); her sisters-in-law, Carolyn Burks and Sara Jones; her cousins, Ann Musgrove (Ted), Mark Abel, Janet Bullard (Mitch), Terry Thrash (Ginger) and Cynthia Stuart; her nephews, Josh French (Sarah), Levi French, Chad Jones (Mary) and David Jones; as well as a host of extended family members.

Mrs. Jones is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Dorothy Clark; and her sister, Debbie French.

Pallbearers will be Josh French, Levi French, Zander French, Ben Shirley, Stephen Kay, Justin Brewer, Scott Therrell, Larry Hood, and Gabe Swann.

The Jones Family suggests memorials be made as donations to Newton County Academy Booster Club in lieu of flowers.
