Linda Kay Moore

Funeral services for Ms. Linda Kay Moore will be held Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Brother Chuck Overby officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Ms. Linda Kay Moore, age 47, of Meridian went to her heavenly home on Friday, January 27, 2023.

Linda was born February 21, 1975 in Meridian, MS to the late Kenneth and Margaret Sims. She grew up near Highland Park and graduated from Meridian High School. She attended nursing school at Meridian Community College. Following graduation, she worked for many years at East Mississippi State Hospital. Most recently she loved travel nursing at various nursing homes and continued to travel until her cancer battle left her unable to work. Linda was loved by every resident she ever encountered. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Linda was always there for anyone who ever needed her and often gave assistance to those in need. She will be missed dearly by many, especially her children.

Linda is survived by her children, Robert Floyd (Makayla McDonald) and Brianna Floyd; her grandchildren, Everleigh Jackson and Madilyn Grace Floyd; her siblings, Houston Deroyce Neal (Rhonda), Felia McLelland (Mike), and Michelle Stewart; her nieces and nephews, Steven Stewart, Johnny Stewart, Travis Sanders, Chase McLelland, Ashley Neal, Jessica Neal, Thomas Bell, and Clarissa Bell; and her best friend, Stephen Jones.

Ms. Moore was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Margaret Sims; her grandparents, Hazel Charleston, Elmo Rigdon, John Thomas Sims and Olla Mae Sims ; and a nephew, Justin Neal.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:45 p.m. prior to the funeral service.

Pall bearers will be Robert Floyd, Travis Sanders, Thomas Bell, Jerome Rigdon, Don Allen, and Larkin Gray.
