Lindley Lee "Rusty" Douthitt Services for Lindley Lee "Rusty" Douthitt will be held Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 12:00 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Duane Maust officiating. Burial will be in Beason Cemetery. Mr. Douthitt, 64, of Meridian died Thursday, March 3, 2011, surrounded by his loved ones at his residence. He was a U.S. Navy and Vietnam Veteran. Mr. Douthitt was retired from General Motors. He will be remembered as an honorable and brave man, loving husband, father and grandfather. He was loved by all and will be dearly missed. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Jean Waddell Douthitt of Meridian; daughter, Shannon Michelle Douthitt McGarity of Meridian; son, Vernon Dewayne Todd of Meridian; grandchildren, Phoenix Lindley McGarity, Bryan Todd, Bobby Todd and two great grandchildren; sister, Linda Phillips and her husband Johnny of Texas; brother, Linsey Douthitt and his wife Yvonne of Texas; sister in law, Linda Keller and her husband Fred of Meridian; brother in laws, Hubert Waddell and his wife Aliean of Meridian, Christopher Waddell and Jamie Waddell of Meridian; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews , great- nieces and great- nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeffie Delos Douthitt and Fairie Dale Douthitt; brother, Ronnie Delos Douthitt. Pallbearers will be Fred Keller, Tracy Waddell, Eric Waddell, Keith Moore, Henry Williams and Dewayne Phelps. Honorary pallbearers are Gerald Castle and Charlie Ball.
