Lois Brown Pipkin Graveside services for Lois Brown Pipkin will be held Saturday, December 11, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at Meridian Memorial Park with Brother Gary Blair of Central Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at Meridian Memorial park Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Pipkin of Columbus, Georgia went home to be with the Lord Jesus, whom she loved very much, on December 8, 2010. Lois was a native of Meridian and a former member of South Side Baptist Church. Mrs. Pipkin taught GA's and RA's for several years and also sang in the choir. She was a retired Registered Nurse and she worked in local hospitals in Jackson, Mississippi, at the Veteran's Administration Hospital and St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. Ms. Pipkin is survived by two sons, Reverend Keith Stephens and his wife Pam of Monroe, Louisiana and Otto L. (Leslie) Stephens III and his wife Linda of Columbus, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Katie Lee and her husband Jarod of Mc Comb, Mississippi, John Philip Stephens of Shreveport, Louisiana, Andrew Stephens and his wife Paige of Monroe, Louisiana, Benjamin, Nathan , Kristen and Jonathan Stephens of Columbus, Georgia and one great grandchild Maddux P. Lee; five sisters, Pauline Caraway and Esther Northam of Meridian, Carolyn Moulds of Florence, Mississippi, Dianne Dennard of Macon, Georgia and Sherry Toole of Watkinsville, Georgia ; two brothers, Gene Brown and Glenwood Martin both of Meridian and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James V. Pipkin, parents Selby H. Brown and Helen Goldman Brown and three brothers Herbert, Ronnie and Kenneth Brown.
