Lois Virginia Ruffin Services for Lois Virginia Ruffin will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Greg Massey and Reverend Charles Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Ruffin, 78, of Meridian died Sunday, November 24, 2013, at her home. She was married to Reverend James A. Ruffin for fifty-eight years and was a beloved pastor's wife. She and her husband served the Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church in Meridian for twenty-six and a half years and for the past fourteen and a half years have served DeKalb Baptist Church. Mrs. Ruffin taught adult Sunday school for over fifty years and was very active in the WMU and had a heart for missions. She was a people person and made friends everywhere she went. Survivors include her husband, Reverend James A. Ruffin; a son, James and wife Lydia of Mobile, Alabama; daughter, Ginny Ruffin of Meridian; a grandson, Michael and wife Joylyn of Saraland, Alabama; great-grandson, Edison; a sister, Reba Reynolds and husband John of Madison, Alabama; and two nephews and a niece. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Patient Benevolence Fund at Anderson Cancer Center, 1704 23rd Avenue, Meridian, Mississippi 39301 or the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for foreign missions.
