Lori Cates Floyd

Mrs. Lori Cates Floyd, 79, of Meridian passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026 at Baptist Anderson Regional Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Lori was born on March 5, 1947. For many years, she worked in the Meridian community in insurance sales and enjoyed forming lasting relationships with her clients. In fact, she was known to visit them when they were sick or if she knew that they may have had a need. She was a member of Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are sister, Karen Myrick (Steve); her brothers, Julian Cates (Barbara) and Ricky Sledge; her special friends, Stephen and Beth Tartt, Mike and Paulette Jones, Dr. Dan Fulton, and Charles and Doris Alderman, as well as numerous other special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Donna Kay Anderson, and her husband, Donald “Bubba” Floyd.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Floyd be made to the Meridian Symphony Orchestra.
