Lorie Ann Roberts Jackson

A memorial service for Ms. Lorie Ann Roberts Jackson will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home. Pastor LaBaron Hedgemon will officiate the service. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Ms. Jackson, age 58, of Meridian passed away on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Rush Foundation Hospital.

Lorie was selfless. She truly loved her neighbor as she loved herself. She knew she was blessed in order to be a blessing to others. No matter how big or small the blessing, Lorie always did for others with a giving and open heart. Lorie was a woman of grace, exemplifying Proverbs 31. She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Her favorite Bible verse was Proverbs 3:5-6, which say, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways, acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” She enjoyed reading, writing, interior decorating, sewing, traveling, various arts and crafts, and spending time with her loved ones.

She is survived by her children, Marquita Jackson, Marquis Jackson, and Sequeena Jackson; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Clark, Kaleb Jackson, and Isaiah Jackson; four brothers; three sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Lucille Roberts, and brother Melvin Roberts Jr.
