Funeral services for Louis Ethridge will be held Friday, August 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Yancey and Reverend Sephus Garrett officiating. Burial will follow at Arkadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Ethridge, age 77, of Bailey passed away Monday, August 15, 2016 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, Mississippi.

Louis retired from Atlas Roofing after many years. He was currently employed at the Navy Exchange “The Country Store” at NAS Meridian and had been there for 15 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was passionate about teaching his sons, grandsons, and other young men how to enjoy the outdoors.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Sharlene Ethridge; children, Rachel Ethridge, Scott Ethridge and wife, Mary, and Laura Ethridge; grandsons, Tyler Scott and Ryan Scott; great-grandsons, Bray Scott and Brayden Hamilton; brothers, A.M. Ethridge Jr. and wife, Ann and Billy Ray Ethridge and wife, Joyce; sister-in-law, Rosie Ethridge; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Ethridge; parents, Andrew and Dorothy Ethridge; siblings, Jane Yancey, John Ed Ethridge, Shorty Ethridge, and Roy Ethridge; and his wife's parents, Charles and Allene Waggener.

Pallbearers will be John Ethridge Sr., John Ethridge Jr., Bill Ethridge, Tracy Laird, Larry Evans, and James Harrison.
