Luther "Wayne"Sheffield, Sr. Services for Luther "Wayne" Sheffield, Sr. will be held Saturday, October 15, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Rhett Payne officiating. Burial will be in Old Marion Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Sheffield, 58, of Meridian died Thursday, October 13, 2011, at Anderson Regional Medical Center North. Wayne worked at various radio stations in our area as a radio announcer and programmer and was known as "The Music Man" and also worked as a DJ for private parties. He also worked for Harris Ambulance Company. Wayne was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife Marsha Sheffield of Meridian; son Tim Sheffield and his wife Jennifer of Stonewall; daughter Terrah Sheffield of Meridian; son James Daniel Sheffield of Meridian; son Luther Wayne Sheffield, Jr. of Meridian ; grandchildren Brody, Brooks , Breanna, Kolbie, Tyler, Matthew and Skylar Sheffield; mother Mary S. Sheffield of Meridian; brother Danny Sheffield of Meridian; sister Elaine Malone of Toomsuba and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Claude Luther Sheffield.
