Lydia Smith Tucker Services for Lydia Smith Tucker will be held Saturday, November 19, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at Pine Grove Church, with Reverend Tommy Espey officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Tucker, 98, of Collinsville died Wednesday, November 16. 2011, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Pine Grove Church where she worked in the nursery for many years. Mrs. Tucker was an avid seamstress and quilt maker and had donated five of her quilts to the Martin Fire Department for fund raisers. Survivors include her children, Elgene Wilson and her husband W.L. "Doc", Steve Tucker and his wife Joyce, Shirley Hutcherson and her husband Lloyd, Verma Dean Wilson all of Collinsville and Margie Thomas and her husband Ronnie of Greenville, South Carolina; brothers Pruitt Smith of Meridian, Walton Smith of Foley, Alabama and sister Helen Bridenstine of Madill, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband G.T. Tucker; parents Alvie and Lela Smith; stepmother Nancy Fancher Smith; sisters Verma Fleming, Lela Snowden and Omera McAdory; grandson David Pierce; granddaughter Kathy Tucker and son-in-law Ralph (Jack) Wilson. Pallbearers will be her grandsons Daryl Tucker, Joey Wilson, Norman Wilson, Jackie Wilson, Dan Pierce, Austin Thomas, Jamie Tucker, Mathew Tucker and special neighbor Earl Robinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Tucker, Max Culpepper, Mike Smith, Steve Buffkin, Donald, Ronald, Dennis, Ronald Paul and Daniel Robinson.
