Lynn Bruner Combest, Vice President of Sales at Leading Edges of Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday, February 11th, 11 days after her 58th birthday.
Visitation is scheduled 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. Friday and funeral service at 10 a.m. Saturday with Dr. Raymond Leake and Dr. Nathan Van Horn officiating, both at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in Meridian. Burial will follow immediately after the service at Oddfellows Cemetery in Quitman.
Lynn graduated from West Lauderdale High School in 1980 where she was a basketball super star. She continued playing basketball, and softball, while attending Meridian Community College. In 1984, she graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Arts in marketing.
Combest loved traveling and living life to the fullest. She loved the beach, putting her blue toes in the sand and listening to waves roll in. She loved a good sunset. She loved riding in the Jeep with her husband, Jack, top down, music up, usually with a dog in the back. She loved her fur babies, Bama, Tide and Nick.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Meridian.
Her family and friends thank her caregivers, especially Dr. Matt Cassell, Dr. Virginia Carney Nelson, the fourth-floor staff at Rush Foundation Hospital, and the Critical Care Unit at Anderson Regional Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband and the love of her life, Jack Combest; her mother, Faye Bruner; her godchildren, Samantha and Anna McLeod; her aunts and uncles, Helen Smith, Sybil Williams, Diane Hudnall, Martha Broadhead, Jim and Shirley Griffin, and Sam and Angie Moore; many cousins, special friends and her Leading Edges family.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Butler, Larry Weems, Tony Pompelia, Andy Mayatt, Scott Morgan, and Todd Mathis. Honorary pallbearers will be the Northwood Country Club Golf Group.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cancer Patient Benevolence Fund, c/o Anderson Regional Cancer Center, 1704 23rd Avenue, Meridian, MS 39301 or a favorite charity.
