Lynn John Schulte

Memorial services for Lynn Schulte will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jason Bird officiating.

Mr. Schulte, age 59, of Meridian passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Fisher House.

Lynn graduated from Texas A&M University in 1980 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and received his Master’s Degree in Management from Troy University in 1990. He worked for the Southern Company for 24 years. His passion for the water drew him to Pensacola in 1988. He was an avid water skier and enjoyed boating with family and friends. He loved college football, pitching washers with his Aggie buddies, and hunting on his family’s cattle ranch in Victoria, Texas. Lynn was a member of Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lee Schulte; daughter, Jourdan Schulte; son, Derek Schulte; parents, Victor and Geralene Schulte; brother, Kynn Schulte (Laura); brother-in-law, Stephen Shivers (Gwen); sister-in-law, Susan Ortega; nieces, Taylor Schulte, Jenny Shivers, and Emma Ortega; nephews, Cole Schulte, Will Shivers, and Braden Ortega.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Victor and Mathilda Schulte; maternal grandparents, Joe and Emma Rehak; and his wife’s parents, Lyman and Barbara Shivers.
