Funeral services for Mable Estelle Mock will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Chuck Meador and Reverend W.D. Pigott officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Mock, age 94, of Meridian, formerly of Panama City, FL and Mobile, AL completed her earthly journey to her heavenly home on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at North Pointe Health and Rehab.
She was born on April 24, 1922 to Tony and Ella Van Mercer Comerford of Alliance, FL and was a graduate of Marianna High School, Marianna, FL and Murrow Business College, Panama City, FL. She was employed by Scott Paper Company, University of South Alabama, and GM&O/ICG Railroads in Mobile, AL coming to Meridian in 1974 with ICG Railroad.
She was a member of Poplar Springs Drive Methodist Church and Friendship Sunday School Class, and will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, auntie and friend.
Survivors include one son, Gene Mock (Nancy) of Acworth, GA; two daughters, Sue Gibson (Garcia) of Meridian, MS and Donna Campbell of Quitman, MS; one brother, T.H. Comerford, Jr. of Panama City, FL; six grandchildren, Julie Trehern Yocham of Leander, TX, Robby Mock (Sharon) of Jacksonville, FL, Kristi Gibson Kersh (David) of Meridian, MS, Emily Campbell Taylor (Alex) of Clarkdale, MS , Michael Campbell Jr.(Ashley) of Enterprise, MS, and Ellen Campbell of Quitman, MS; ten great grandchildren, USMC SSGT Jason Mock (Michelle) of Ocean Side, CA, Dylan Mock of Palm Bay, FL, Lennox and Robert Yocham of Leander, TX, Austin Gibson and Kourtney Kersh of Meridian, MS, Sidney and Isabel Taylor of Clarkdale, MS, Avery Campbell of Enterprise, MS, and Braylon Campbell of Quitman, MS; one great great granddaughter, Vanessa Mock of Ocean Side, CA; four nephews, Mack Bozeman (Christine) of DeFuniak Springs, FL, Harold Stone of Havana, FL, Eddie Joe (Claudia) Comerford and Alan Van (Sharon) Comerford of Panama City, FL; her church family and a host of “Best Friends.”
Mrs. Mock was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Gussie Mae Jenson, Evie Bozeman, Ruth Blackwell and Infant Edith Comerford; four nephews, Mitchell Comerford, Danny Max Comerford, Patrick Bozeman, and William Bozeman Jr.; and sister-in-law, Mable Comerford.
Pallbearers will be David Kersh, Alex Taylor, Michael Campbell, Austin Gibson, Garcia Gibson, and Robert Mock.
The family request memorials be made to Poplar Springs Drive Methodist Church Building fund, 3937 Poplar Springs Drive, Meridian, MS 39305.
