Services for Madean Hoke Simpson will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Mortimer Funeral Home in Belzoni, MS with Bro. Jim Pruitt officiating.  Burial will be in Greencrest Memorial Gardens in Belzoni.

Ms. Simpson, 82, of Meridian, formerly of Isola, MS, passed away, June 4, 2016 at Anderson Reginal Medical Center in Meridian, MS

Ms. Simpson was a resident of Aldersgate Retirement community, a place where she loved to live. She made many dear friends. The workers are the best, most caring people. She was a member of Cole Lake Christian Church in Isola, MS. Her love for the Lord never faltered and she made sure all her children knew Him. Special thanks to Dr. Doug Phillips, Nurse Diane, Dr. Tom Plavac and 2 east nurses at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

She is survived by her siblings: Lorette David (Bob), Lawrence Hoke (Barbara), sister-n-law: Nancy Suski, (John), Children: Jennifer Anderson (Terry) Kent Simpson, Jeff Simpson, and Anna Thompson (Doug), grandchildren: Phillip Simpson (Jessica), Earon Burrell (Chris), Dusty Simpson, Sesily Simpson, Alyssa Simpson, Dylan Simpson, Allyson Wells, and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Simpson, Parents, R L and Bertha Hoke and brothers, R B Hoke and Billy Paul Hoke.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Simpson, Chris Burrell, Glenn Russell, Stephen Hoke, Terry Rutherford and Mike Castle.

Honorary pallbearers are Dusty Simpson and Dylan Simpson.

Visitation will be Monday, June 6, 2016 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. and also at Mortimer Funeral home Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 12:00 pm until service.
