Mardis "Pete" Ethridge Funeral service for Mardis "Pete" Ethridge will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at Goodwater Baptist Church, with Brother Jeremy Clearman and Brother Ben Duke officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Ethridge, 53, of Meridian passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2014. He was a retired electrician and was a union member of IBEW Local 917. Survivors include his wife, Rosie Goforth Ethridge; daughter, Rhonda Ethridge Chapman and husband, Ray; grandson, Trey Chapman and wife, Heather; brother, Willie Creel and wife, Patrice; sister, Vicky Boyette and husband, Billy; brother, Samuel Ethridge and wife, Cindy and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Saul and Carolyn Ethridge and a brother, David Ethridge. The family request memorials be made to Pleasant Grove Cemetery Fund. Pallbearers will be Eddie Ott, Doug Olson, R. L. Goforth, Mike Oglesby, Cris Goforth, Jimmy Bell, and Blake Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dexter Reynolds and Bill Johnson.
