A graveside service for Margaret Clark will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with Dr. Rhett Payne, III officiating, with burial will follow. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
Mrs. Clark, age 95, of Lauderdale, was born August 13, 1928, and passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Diversicare of Meridian.
Mrs. Clark attended Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, and the Memphis Academy of Arts. She married Grady Mims Clark of Lauderdale, Mississippi in 1948. Their union was blessed with three children, Grady M. Clark, Jr., Kevin G. Clark, and Neva Graeber Clark.
Mrs. Clark was a long-time member of First Presbyterian Church of Meridian where she served as the president of women's work. The Lord called her into her own ministry, teaching seven Bible classes a month at the church, retirement homes, and nursing homes. She was the author of a book entitled "Just Trust Me" and was responsible for getting a Day of Prayer for the State of Mississippi in 2002.
Mrs. Clark was a member of Meridian Junior Auxiliary Demolay Mom in 1970 and one of the original founders of Lamar High School.
Survivors include her two sons, Dr. Grady M. Clark, Jr. and his wife, Wendy, of Meridian; Dr. Kevin G. Clark and his wife, Debra, of Lauderdale, MS; three grandsons, Justin M. Clark (Barbara), Brandon D. Clark, and John Grafton Clark; two great-grandchildren, Sydney Mims Clark and Marshall Lee Clark.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady M. Clark, Sr.; her daughter, Neva Graeber Clark, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis A. Graeber, Sr. from Marks, Mississippi.
