Funeral Services for Mrs. Margie Hart will begin at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Franklin Denham and Jacob Scrimpshire officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hart, 92 of Meridian, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Bedford Care Center of Marion.

Margie was born in Jackson and was a graduate of Central High School and Business College. She was employed at the Baptist Book Store, prior to marrying her husband of over 69 years, John Hart. She served as organist and pianist for over 40 years at Highland Baptist Church of Meridian; where she also served as church secretary for 17 years. She was loved and respected by many friends and church members as a talented musician playing for countless weddings and other special events.

She is survived by her children, Sheila Gordon (Joe), Mike Hart (Jill), Jane Snyder (Dan); grandchildren, Melissa Reynolds (Scott), Melanie Palumbo (John), Erin Purvis (Nathan), Shanna Scrimpshire (Jacob), Kyle Hart (Taylor), Christian Hart, John Snyder (Amy), and Adam Snyder; great-grandchildren, Hartley, Olivia, Molly, Amelia, John Rhodes, Jude, Abe, Zeke, Kasen, Jackson, and Emily; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Hart, and parents Benjamin and Minnie Thornton; as well as great-grandson, Elijah Scrimpshire.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Highland Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandson-in-laws.
