Marie Harris Thomas

Funeral services for Marie Thomas will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at 2:30 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ed Flaskamp officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Thomas, age 82, of Meridian, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018, at her residence.

Marie retired after 36 years from Riley Hospital as a switchboard operator. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Marie will be remembered as a very outgoing person who never met a stranger.

She is survived by: sons, James Leon Thomas, Donald Wayne Thomas (Carol) and Randall Keith Thomas; grandchildren, Crystal Dearman (Sam) and Gavin Thomas; two great grandchildren; brother, James Harris (Janelle); and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: husband of 56 years, Grady Leon Thomas; parents, Augusta Harris and Ella Harris Rawson; and sisters, Mary Ella Vaughn and Bessie Zabinski.
