Mark Alan Hampson

Memorial services for Mr. Mark Alan Hampson will begin at 12:00 PM, Saturday, July 27, 2024, at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Augustine officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Hampson, age 67, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. Mark had many hobbies and loves in life. He spent his whole life cheering for the Chicago Cubs, as well as traveling to many sporting events.

Mark loved spending time outdoors and could be found fishing, hunting, gardening, playing catch with his grandchildren, and spending his retirement time building projects for others.

Mark was proud to be a member of The Knights of Columbus. He received many awards, including the Knight of the Year award.

Most mornings, you could find Mark eating breakfast with his buddies and having lively conversations at The Pig.

At the end of the day, Mark was a kind, loving, and selfless person who loved to help others. He was loved by so many and will be dearly missed.

Mark is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marti Hampson; children, Maranda Harding (Scooter) of Monroe, NC and Marc Hampson of Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Grant (12), Caleb (10), and Emma Kate (9); three brothers and one sister.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Owen and Maxine Hampson of Ottawa, IL and grandparents, Max and Marie Mautino.
