Mark Mardis

Memorial Services Celebrating the life of Mr. Mark Mardis will begin at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church.

Mr. Mardis, age 56, of Meridian, Mississippi passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at his home.

Mark was born February 16, 1967 in Meridian, Mississippi to the late Carolyn Irby Lovette and James Earl Mardis. Mark dearly loved his family, especially his children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews. He was known for being comedic, always making people laugh. A hard-working man, Mark was an over-the-road truck driver and in earlier years he worked at Waffle House and McDonald's. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and many other sporting events. He enjoyed cooking out for his family, fishing, and watching the news everyday. His family and friends will remember him for being a caring, compassionate, and trustworthy father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Mark is survived by his daughter, Casey Mardis; his grandchildren, Kaleb Mardis, Jacob Mardis, and Hannah Mardis; his siblings, Mike Mardis, David Mardis (Michele), Tommy Irby, Jr. (Nicole), and John Irby (Erica); his step-father, Tom Irby, Sr.; and several nieces and nephews, Jonathan, Timothy, Katherine, Mary, Sarah, Makayla, Preston, Skylar, Alexander, Madison, Caleb, C.J., Brooks, and Paisley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carolyn Irby Lovette and James Earl Mardis; his son, Christopher Mardis; and his sister, Bonnie Lofton.
