"Marlene" Gross Stokes

Graveside services for “Marlene” Gross Stokes will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at 11:00am at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, with Reverend Davey Wilkinson and Reverend Roy Dabbs officiating. Visitation will be held 10-11am prior to the service at the church. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Marlene passed away in Anderson’s Hospital, surrounded by her family on Monday, September 12, 2016. She was born on May 26, 1933 in Meridian, and lived in Meridian most of her life.

She is survived by her sons, Kimbel (Telsa) Stokes of Forsyth, GA, Brian (Faye) Stokes of Toomsuba, MS, Chris (Beth) Stokes of Russell, MS, and Mark (Susan) Stokes of Columbia, MS; ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Stokes, her parents Charles and Lois Gross, and one brother, Dr. Beverly Gross.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons Scott Stokes, Dustin Stokes, Matt Stokes, Ben Stokes, Jeffrey Stokes, and Taylor Stokes.
