Graveside services for Marnell McDill will be held Friday, May 26, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Skip Atchison officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. McDill, age 93, of Meridian passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Jasper General Nursing Home in Bay Springs, Mississippi.

Marnell was born in Monticello, Arkansas. As a young woman, she married the love of her life, Edward McDill, Sr., who was serving in the United States Navy. She was a devoted Navy wife for over 30 years, being stationed in many states and countries until his retirement in Meridian.

She is survived by her children, Amy McDill Maeda (Kenneth), Edward F. McDill Jr. (Lynda), and Lela McDill Bryan (Jack); grandchildren, Chris McDill, Danny McDill, Joshua Maeda, Jeremiah Maeda, Cole Bryan, and Holly Bryan; 5 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chief Edward F. McDill Sr., USN; parents, William Harper Green and Lela Maud Tucker Greene; sister, Mary Alverne Mears; and brother, Ossie Juan Greene.
