Services for Mrs. Marolyn O. Wright will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Bro. Mike Powell officiating. Interment will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Marolyn O. Wright, 89, of Meridian Mississippi, passed away Friday, May 22, 2026 after a brief illness. She was at her home surrounded by family.

Marolyn graduated from Craddock High School, Portsmouth Virginia, class of 1955. She began a civil service job working as a secretary/administrative assistant, at Norfolk Naval Base, while living in Virginia. Her husband, Terry, was transferred to NAS Meridian in 1971 and that was the beginning of her time here in Meridian. She began working at NAS Meridian and continued until her retirement from civil service March 1994.

Marolyn and her husband Terry enjoyed fishing in their younger years. Terry played the guitar and banjo and they enjoyed singing together. They even performed at the Neshoba County Fair years ago. They had many beloved dogs through the years. Each one loved and spoiled accordingly. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen Reynolds (Ed), Grandchildren, Kristen Munn and Taylor Reynolds (Elizabeth); Great -Grandchildren, Madison Munn, Rush Reynolds, and his soon-to-be sibling, due this year; Daughter-in-Law, Judy Traweek; Stepchildren, Stephen Wright (Ada), Peggy Williams, Scott Wright, and their families.

She was proceeded in death by her husband of 49 years, Terry Wright. Birth mother, Charlotte Robbins. Adoptive parents, Earl Hiram Sleeth and Gladys Devern Robbins. Her sisters, Gladys May Chiellon and Carolyn Rose Johnson.

A heartfelt thank you to Ochsner Rush ER nurses and staff, 6th floor nurses and staff and Harper's Hospice staff, especially Kyle, Kayla, Heather and Mary.

In addition to flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Wright be made to a local animal shelter or rescue of your choice.
