A Memorial service for Ms. Martha Kay Hopkins will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Mount Horeb Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Hutchinson officiating the Celebration of Life. The burial will follow in the Mount Horeb Baptist Church Cemetery, with a reception following. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Martha was a dedicated wife and mother of two sons, Jeff and Mark, who established herself in the medical field as a surgical technician, caring for others in her decades of service.

She loved playing softball as a first baseman and hit numerous homeruns during her tenure as a game-loving individual. She often encouraged others to join in on the fun. Martha enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and riding motorcycles with family and friends.

Martha was proud to be a grandmother; she enjoyed spending summers watching her grandchildren and taking them on vacation throughout the years. She was blessed to become a great-grandmother, having the opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband Ron and spending time with family and friends exploring places like St. Thomas the Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, Greenland, and numerous places throughout the country.

She loved to cook and bake original and new recipes, partying with her family and friends, and dressing up for one of her favorite holidays, Halloween.

Martha was also an avid supporter of dogs in need of foster care and rescue working with "Roadside Rescue."

Ms. Hopkins is survived by her sons, Jeff Hopkins and his fiancé Tonya, Mark Hopkins and his wife Nicoleta; grandchildren, Lisa, Jason, Adam, Melissa, Nicole, Julia, and Kayla; great-grandchildren, Megan, Kendall, Justin, Kyle, RaeLeigh, Marco, and Bradley; sister, Faye Thrash; brother-in-law, Carrol McLemore; half-siblings, Faye Ellis (Paul), Betty Walton, Larry Thrasher, Melvin Thrasher (Kelly), Sherry Shanks (Fred); along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.

Preceding Martha in death were her husband, Ron Hopkins; daughter-in-law, Kathy Hopkins; parents, James and Iva Dean Thrasher; siblings, Jerome Thrasher, Pauline McLemore, Mason Thrasher (Martha's twin), Edsel Thrasher, Jennie Smith, Doris Spears; and nephew, Troy Thrasher.
