Martha Vernell Adams Harris (Nell) Services for Martha Vernell Adams Harris (Nell) will be held Saturday, September 17, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dewayne Kelsie officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Methodist Church Cemetery in DeKalb with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Harris, 65, of Russell died Thursday, September 15, 2011, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. Nell was a resident of Russell and retired from the florist business. Nell loved her kids and grand kids, they were her world. She enjoyed life and was a people person. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her three daughters LeAnne Sumerall, Lisa Lee and Teresa Green; four sons Keith Smith, Alan Smith, Donald Harris and Ronald Harris; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a brother Bobby Adams and a sister Judy Herring. Mrs. Harris is preceded in death by her husband Ron Harris; father Edward Ray (Dick) Adams of DeKalb; her mother Virginia Adams of DeKalb and granddaughter's Nicki Lee of Talladega and Amber; grandson Matthew Mooney of Prentiss.
