Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ann Chafin Vincent will begin at 1:30 PM Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Matt Farmer officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Springs Southern Methodist Church Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Vincent, 89, of Meridian, died Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at the Beehive Personal Care Home of Marion.

Mrs. Mary Ann was a dedicated elementary educator for many years and retired from Meridian Public School District. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Central United Methodist Church of Meridian where she especially enjoyed the Asher Circle. Mary Ann was a life-long encourager and could find joy in all stations of life; She had a ministry of Joy and loved sharing that joy with all she met. In her spare time, she enjoyed camping and traveling with her family and friends.

Mrs. Mary Ann is survived by her daughter, Peggy Eakes; her grandson, Benjamin Eakes; Sister-in-law, Charlene Clayton; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Mrs. Vincent is preceded in death by her husband of over 57 years, Charles Vincent, Jr.; her parents, Herman K Chafin, Sr, and Mary Thames Chafin; and her brother, Herman K Chafin, Jr.

The Vincent Family suggest memorials be made as donations to the Anderson Regional Medical Center Cancer Benevolence Fund or to Roadside Rescue of Meridian in lieu of flowers.

Mrs. Vincent’s Family would like to express special appreciation to the Staff of Accent Hospice and the Staff of Beehive Homes of Marion for going above and beyond their call and providing exceptional care.
