Mary Elizabeth Clark Bounds

Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Harris Clark Bounds will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Collinsville Methodist Church, with Dr. Ron Kitchens officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mary Elizabeth Harris Clark Bounds, age 96, Meridian passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023, at her home.

Mary was an exceptional church organist at Collinsville Methodist Church for several years. Before her first husband of 55 years, Aaron Clark, passed away, Mary and Aaron traveled to every state in the U.S.A. in their R.V. Mary loved the camping lifestyle. Later she reconnected with her high school sweetheart, Mel Bounds, and they enjoyed ten years of happiness together. She will be remembered as a loving Christian mother, grandmother, and friend.

She is survived by her husband Mel Bounds, her daughters Diane Simmons, and Nan Broadhead (Earl), her grandson Chris Simmons (Samantha), great-grandchildren, Lex, Hayden, and Chloe. Don Bounds, Debbie Bounds, and Dale Bounds. She also survived numerous extended family members who loved her very much.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Aaron Clark, her grandson Jeff Simmons, her parents, and her brothers and sisters.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to her caregiver, Kay Lowery, Dr. Kent Darsey, and to Accent Hospice Care.

The family request memorials to be made to Collinsville Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be Scott Bounds, Robby Null, Mark McPhail, Ronnie Dallas, Donald Belvin, and Don Bounds. Earl Broadhead, Chris Simmons and Jimmy Boatner will serve as honorary pallbearers.
