Mary E. Day Graveside services for Mary E. Day will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 2:00 at Zion Cemetery in Kemper County, with Reverend Jack Giles officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Kemper County. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Day, 73, of Meridian, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Anderson Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Day was a devout Christian, the best Mama in the world and followed the golden rule throughout her entire life. She loved her sisters, sister-in-law, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Survivors include her son, Alan Day and his wife Suzanne of Meridian; two granddaughters, Shannon Day, Ashley Gentry and her husband Justin; great-grandson, Austin Day, all of Meridian; two sisters, Peggy Tingle and Gene May; special sister-in-law, Bobbie May; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Day; son, Christopher Day; grandson, Alex Day; parents, Debs and Rene May; brother, Jimmie May.
