Mary Elizabeth Moore Palmer Services for Mary Elizabeth Moore Palmer will be held Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 2:30 P.M. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel , with Reverend Wayne Smith officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Palmer 90, of Meridian, died Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Golden Living Center. Mrs. Palmer was born September 23, 1920 in Winston County MS. She was a long time member of Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church. Mrs. Palmer worked for many years at JC Penny's and retired from The Credit Bureau of Meridian after working for over 30 years. Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Faye Palmer Kirk and her son Henry Welch Palmer of Meridian, MS; grandchildren, Lt. Colonel Daniel Kane Kirk, III of Fort Benning, GA., Casey Palmer Kirk of Pensacola, FL, Major Henry Anthony (Hap) Palmer, of Collinsville, MS, Gilbert Moore Palmer and James David Palmer of Meridian,MS; great-grandchildren, Preston Curren Kirk, Addison Akiko Kirk of Pensacola, FL, Jackson Henry Palmer and Olivia Ann Palmer of Collinsville, MS, Laney Elizabeth Palmer of Meridian, MS, Daniel Kane Kirk, IV (Buck), Hannah Hunnicutt, Holly Hunnicutt and Heidi Hunnicutt of Fort Benning, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Vester Bernard Palmer, parents, Henry Samuel and Allie Myrle Holman Moore; sisters, Pansy Lee Moore Stokes, Lois Oliver Moore Kennedy and Lydia Bell Moore Alewine; brother, Bruce Moore.
