Mary Alice Todd Holifield

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Holifield will be held Friday, April 20, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Bro. Chris Floyd officiating. Burial will be held at Magnolia Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Holifield, age 85, of Collinsville passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Rush Foundation Hospital.

Mrs. Holifield’s life was God and her family. She was a founding member of Broadmoor Baptist Church, where she loved to serve in many capacities. She was a dedicated church member and had a profound love for her church family. Both her family and her church family will remember her faithfulness to God. She was known as a Godly and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend by many. She always put her family first and was willing to sacrifice to make sure that her children had what they needed.

Survivors include her children, Angela Mowdy (Wilbur), Sheila Webster (Steve), Stephanie Holifield, and Sandy Davidson (Chad); grandchildren, Melissa Sorrick (Dan), David Mowdy (Kayla), Derek Mowdy (Shannon), Amber Fortenberry (Chris), Brandon Adams, Stephanie Kirkpatrick, Daniel Webster, Chase Davidson, and Chance Davidson; great-grandchildren, Charlotte Webster, Catherine Kirkpatrick, Daphne Webster, Merideth Kirkpatrick, Blaine Fortenberry, Jace Fortenberry, Olivia Fortenberry, and Elliott Sorrick; nieces, BeBe Odom and Terry Ezell; and one nephew, Dusty Todd.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-nine years, John T. Holifield; parents, Wilson Henry Todd and Ena Wigington (Bullard); and her brother, Clarence Junior Todd.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Brandon Adams, David Mowdy, Derek Mowdy, Chase Davidson, Chance Davidson, and her honorary grandson, Dustin Davidson.

The family requests that memorials be made to Broadmoor Baptist Church.
