Mary J. "Cookie" Shumate Woodall Services for Mary J. "Cookie" Shumate Woodall will be held Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Paul Harris officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Woodall, 71, of Meridian, died January 10, 2013, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was retired from the City of Meridian. Mrs. Woodall was an active member of Faith Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Survivors include her children George W. Woodall, Jr. and wife Cindy Sims Woodall, David W. Woodall, Susan Woodall Parker and husband Nick, and Mary Woodall Jones; grandchildren Angela Woodall Sheppard and husband Patrick, Sabrina Woodall Boles, Belinda C. Woodall, Travis Woodall and wife Angela Bennett, Chaise Woodall, Katelynn Woodall, Melissa Miller Beebe and husband Matt, and Ashley K. Jones; great-grandchildren Kadence Beebe, Mason Beebe and Jessamyn Woodall; brother John David Shumate; sisters-in-law Brenda Shumate and Mildred Shumate; special friend Brenda Estes and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Curtis and Mary Shumate, sister Mildred "Sister" Shumate, brother Edwin Shumate and sister in-law Patsy Shumate, brothers Curtis "Son" Shumate and Louis "Bud" Shumate, sister-in-law Hazel Shumate, grandson Matthew Miller and grandson baby boy Bateman.
