Mary Leigh Freeman

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Leigh Freeman will begin at 2:30 PM Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Aaron Parker officiating. Interment will follow graveside rites in the church cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Freeman, 78, died Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Baptist Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian.

Mrs. Mary Leigh was a faithful and longtime member of Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a volunteer at the Meehan Volunteer Fire Department Voting Precinct. Mary Leigh was a great cook and enjoyed feeding her family and friends. She was an SEC Sports fan, especially pulling for Mississippi State’s Baseball and Women’s Basketball Teams. She always enjoyed working in her yard and being outdoors.

Mrs. Mary Leigh is survived by her grandchildren, Cody Freeman, Hunter Drew Freeman (Jenna), Tanner Strickland (Brittany), Abbey Freeman (Wade Cash), and Luke Freeman. Great-grandchildren Cora Freeman, Rhettley Freeman, Layla Freeman, Lylla Strickland, Walker Strickland, Gracie Freeman, and Benjamin Wayde Cash. Her Brothers, Sonny Holland (Donna) and Wade Holland (Allison); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Mrs. Freeman is preceded by in death by her husband, James “Buster” Freeman; her son, Jeffrey Freeman; and her parents, Mildred Holland Fulks and Alva Holland.

Pallbearers will be J.B. Freeman, Aaron Freeman, Brad Freeman, Jason Archie, Brent Mabry, Al Brewer, and Tony McMahan.

The Freeman Family suggests memorials may be made as donations to the Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund in lieu of flowers.
