Mary Louise Gower A memorial service honoring the life of Mrs. Mary Louise Crampton Gower will be held Friday, April 19, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at First Christian Church, with Reverend Malcolm Lewis officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Gower, 73, died Saturday, April 13, 2103 in Meridian. Mary Lou was a 1957 graduate of Meridian High School. She dedicated more than twenty years of her life to the Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library. She is survived by her daughter, April Gower Hardin and son-in-law Jason of Atlanta; son, Van W. Gower of Decatur, Georgia; daughter, Amy Gower Reede of Meridian; brother, the late John K. Crampton, Jr. and sister-in-law Libby of Foley, Alabama. Three grandchildren, Bailey Thomas Turner and husband Sam of St. Augustine, Florida, Oliver Hardin of Atlanta and Austin Reede of Meridian; two great-grandchildren, Sadie and Sophia Turner of St. Augustine and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband James W. "Jimmy" Gower; parents, John K. Crampton and Marguerite Culberson Crampton and sister, Lois Crampton Worrell. Family and friends will be received at the home of Butch and Wickie Thomas, 123 Luther Walker Road, Meridian, Mississippi 39301, immediately following the service.
