Funeral services for Mary Newell will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John Temple officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.

Mrs. Newell, age 90, of Meridian, passed away Tuesday, January 05, 2016 at Poplar Springs Nursing Center.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Thielemann; son, Mike Newell (Gayla); grandchildren, Daniel Thielemann (Lacey), Matt Thielemann (Laura), Jacquelyn Newell, Kristen Guffey (Travis), and Molly Newell; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Thelma Clayton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cluis Newell and parents, Herman and Lorena McDaniel.
