Mary Elizabeth Calvert Pruitt Services for Mary Elizabeth Calvert Pruitt will be held Monday, November 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Pine Grove Church in Martin, with Reverend Tommy Espey and Reverend Kyle Naylor officiating. Burial will be at Pine Grove Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Pruitt, age 89, of Meridian, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Pruitt retired from West Lauderdale High School where she worked in the cafeteria for 23 years. She was a lifelong member of Pine Grove Church. Survivors include her son, Ozett Pruitt; daughter, Nancy Nicholas and husband, Dale; daughter, Beth Griffin and husband, Sidney; grandchildren, David Pruitt and wife, Mary Elizabeth, Michael Pruitt and wife, Aimee, and Jeremy Nicholas and wife, Sarah; great grandchildren, Noah Pruitt, Caleb Pruitt, Levi Pruitt, Elizabeth Pruitt, Charlie Nicholas, Mary Holland Nicholas, and Annaleigh Pruitt; sister, Sara Lee; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Pruitt; parents, Austin and Nola Calvert; brother, Austin O. "Bubba" Calvert, Jr.; and granddaughter, Shelly Denise Reed.
