Matthew "Matt" Davison

Graveside services for Mr. Matthew “Matt” Davison, will begin at 10:30 AM Friday, June 19, 2026, at Half-Acre Cemetery located at 62 Thrush Road Sweetwater, AL 36782. Interment will follow graveside rites. The Davison Family will receive guests for a time of visitation, Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Davison, 40, of Meridian, died Sunday, June 14, 2026, in Meridian, MS.

Matt was born and reared in Meridian, MS and grew up an avid fan of all sports. He was also an avid golfer and enjoyed being outdoors. He attended East Mississippi Community College on a golf and academic scholarship. Matt was a True Maroon Mississippi State Fan, following MSU football and baseball. He worked as a Terminal Operator at TransMontaigne in Meridian, MS where he worked over 19 years. He was dedicated to his work and service. He was often seen with his four-legged companion Winston.

Matt is survived by his parents, Del and Ellen Davison; his brother, Trey Davison (Lisa); his nephews, Tyler Davison and Jeremy Davison; his paternal grandmother, Sarah Sellers; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.

Matt is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jerry Davison, Sr.; and his maternal grandparents, Charles Elliott and Kathleen Tucker.
