Funeral services for Mattie Grimes will be held at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Dr. John Temple officiating. Burial will be at Gumlog Cemetery, with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Grimes, 92, of Meridian, passed away September 2, 2015, at Golden Living Center. Mrs. Mattie Grimes was born in Meridian, Mississippi. She retired from Sears, and then traveled with her husband throughout his Navy career, and settled back in Meridian, Mississippi upon his retirement. She was a member of the Eastern Star, as well as several camping groups. Mrs. Grimes is survived by her step-son, William C. Grimes, Jr; step- daughter Mrs. Susan Miller; brother, Mr. Harold Pratt; two nephews; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, William C.
