Funeral services for Ms. Mattie Shelton will begin at 12 noon, Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Kern officiating. Interment will follow at Old Marion Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Ms. Shelton, 82, of Meridian, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Divisicare of Meridian.

Ms. Shelton retired from Peavy Electronics as well as was the recipient of numerous awards. Prior to working at Peavy she was employed at Kress department store until its closing. Many friends and family members remember her work ethic and determination to do a good job at whatever she set out to accomplish.

Ms. Shelton is survived by her sisters Myrle McMullen (Jerry) and Lela Jean Shepard; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ms. Mattie is preceded in death by her husband Aubrey Shelton, as well her parents Roger and Louella Lovett.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Shelton, John Shelton, Michael Shelton, Terry Shelton, Chris Sheffield, and Sonny McMullen.
