Maurine Hurst Williamson

Funeral services for Mrs. Maurine Hurst Williamson will begin at 12:00 PM Friday, July 5, 2024, at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Vick officiating. Interment will follow graveside rites at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in the Frazier Grove Community.  Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Williamson, 92, of Collinsville, died Sunday, June 30, 2024, at Baptist Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Maurine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was an active, longtime, member of Union Baptist Church in the Frazier Grove Community as long as her health permitted. She enjoyed attending yard sales, fishing, and spending time with her family in her spare time. She also loved music and singing, as well as writing poetry.

Mrs. Maurine is survived by her children, Zona Thompson, Sue Martin, Darla Guy (Greg), and Tony Williamson (Angela); her son-in-law, Ben Williams; grandchildren, Chad Thompson (D’nece), Beth Ann Thompson, William Luke Thompson (Cheryl), John Thompson (Lindsey), Jennifer Flake (Lance), Calton Watt (Amy), Justin Watt (Eva), Gregory Guy, and Ashley Mercado (Joe); 15 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Mrs. Williamson is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Charlie Williamson; her daughter Regina Williams; her son-in-law Sidney Thompson; her parents, Jasper and Beatrice Hurst; and her two sisters, Melfaline Gibbs and Talitha Williams.

The Williamson family suggests memorials be made as donations to Union Baptist Church, C/O Rev. Mike Vick, 755 Tinsley Chisolm Road, DeKalb, MS 39328 in lieu of flowers.

Pallbearers will be Gregory Guy, Justin Watt, Luke Thompson, Lance Flake, Joe Mercado, Jeff Scarbrough, and Carlton Watt.
