Funeral services for Bessie Mavis Cummings Bishop will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Destin Morris and Rev. Austin Bishop officiating. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mrs. Mavis Bishop, age 86, of Meridian passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024, at North Pointe Health and Rehab.

Survivors include her son, Austin Bishop (Barbara); grandchildren, Ryan Satcher (Cassidy) and Bradley Bishop (Olivia); great-grandchildren, Harper and Easton Satcher; siblings, Ellen Smith (Vern) and Eston Cummings (Margie); beloved dog, Mitzi; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Austin Bishop, Sr.; parents, Lewis and Zelma Cummings.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Satcher, Bradley Bishop, John Cummings, Scott Wright, Brian Gressett, Vernon Cummings, Frank Cummings, and Brisco James.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask memorial donations to be made to The Building Fund at Trinity Assembly of God in Meridian or Mississippi Children's Hospital.
