Max Edward Williams Services for Max Edward Williams will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 2:30 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home chapel with Reverends Rick Pigott and Damon Williams officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Williams, 83, of Meridian, died Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Poplar Springs Nursing Center. He was a member of Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church. Mr. Williams worked many years with McMillan Bloedel and later retired from Weyerhaeuser. He was also a manager at General Box Corrugated Division. Mr. Williams served in the Air National Guard and was activated to serve in the Korean War. He was a member of Forest Masonic Lodge, Forest,MS. Survivors include his wife, Patricia F. Williams of Meridian; daughters, Dinah Neal and her husband Larry of Toomsuba, Susan Hatcher and her husband Stan of Collinsville; son, Mal Williams and his wife Barbra of Gulf Breeze, FL; step-son, Terry Alawine and his wife Kim of Dalewood; step-daughter, Stacey Evans of Meridian; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Hennington of Quitman, Dot Jacobs of Florida; brother, David Williams of Quitman; mother of his children, Pat Giffin of Bailey, MS; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Mike Williams; step-son, Teddy Alawine; step-daughter, Patti Alawine Carmichael; parents Cyrus Malery and Annie Bell Brewer Williams.
