Maxine Jeanne White

Funeral services for Maxine Jean White will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Jason Bird officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. White, age 78, of Meridian passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at her residence.

Maxine moved to Meridian with four children when she was widowed at the age of 36. She earned an accountants degree from MSU, Meridian and then she worked at Brookshires Dairy, until it sold. She then went back to school and became an LPN. She worked at Rush Hospital and East Mississippi State Hospital until she retired. She is a member of 15th Avenue Baptist Church.

She is survived  by her children, Carol D’Alessandro (Tony), Mandeville, LA, Michael White (Sirpa), West Palm Beach, FL, Allen White (Leigh), Meridian, MS, Sandra Schowalter (Paul) Mettarie, LA; grandchildren, Alexandra White, Sarah White, Neil Armstrong, Christian D’Alessandro, Rachel D’Alessandro, and Jonathan Schowalter; Siblings, Fran Lembo, and Rachel Plourde; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward White, grandchildren, Adam White, Jeremy Armstrong, and April Armstrong Burgess.

The family requests memorials be made to the Adam White/ BSU memorial Scholarship thru the Lauderdale County Baptist Association; 5521 Clinton Dr., Marion, MS 39342.
