Funeral services for Mrs. Melba J Ramey will begin at 2: 30 pm , Tuesday, January 22, 2019 in the chapel of Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Richie Davis officiating. Graveside services will begin at 10:00 am Friday, January 25, 2019 at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery in Ardmore , OK. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements. Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home will be entrusted with the final arrangements in Ardmore , OK.

Mrs. Ramey , 87, of Meridian, passed away Friday, January 18, 2019 at The Oaks Rehab Center of Meridian.

Mrs. Melba was a member of First Baptist Church of Lauderdale for 17 years. She loved gardening and tending to flowers, as well as fishing and golfing while her health permitted. She also enjoyed spending time with her dog, “Lil Bit.”

She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Michael Ramey ; children, Debrah Cooper, Earl Cooper, Jr. (Mary Lynne), and Jessica Ramey . Five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren as well as a host of extended family members.

Mrs. Ramey is preceded in death by her parents.

The family request memorials be made to The Alzheimer Association in lieu of flowers.
