Melwyn Smith Shirley Graveside services for Melwyn Smith Shirley will be held Monday, December 28, 2009 at 11:00 at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Bonita, with Reverend Davey Wilkinson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Bonita. Mrs. Shirley, 85, of Meridian, died Friday, December 25, 2009 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Lauderdale United Methodist Church. Survivors include her children, Belinda Donald and her husband Jim of Marion, Melanie McLelland and her husband Brad of Collinsville, grandchildren, Brad Donald, Andrea McLelland, and Kevin McLelland, sister, Virginia McRae of Whynot Community, Imogene Ford of Causeville Community, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Ray Shirley. The family request memorials be made to The Leukemia/Lymphoma Society. Pallbearers will be her Grandsons and Sons In Law. There will be no visitation.
