Metta Ann Sisson
Funeral services for Ann Sisson will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2016, at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Dr. Michael Bird officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Sisson, age 74 of Meridian, passed away Monday, August 08, 2016.
As a young adult, Mrs. Sisson earned a Master’s Degree in Education with highest honors from the University of Southern Mississippi. Following her passion for education, she then spent the next 30 years teaching, spending most of her career at Northeast Elementary School. She married her forever love William D. “Bill” Sisson November 23, 1961. Mrs. Sisson was a longtime member of Midway Baptist Church and was an active leader, teaching Sunday school to both children and adults. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, and adoring “Mawmaw.”
Mrs. Sisson is survived by her daughter Kathy Covington and husband Al of Meridian; daughter Pam Coile and husband Greg of Collierville, Tennessee; son David Sisson and wife Denise of Meridian; grandchildren William Sisson, Christopher Roland, Tyler Covington and wife Amy, Mercedes Mosley, Emily Roland, Corey Sisson and wife Anna, Mark Covington, Jacob Sisson, Cameron Coile, Devin Sisson, Joseph Covington, Keaghan Coile, and Halston Coile; great grandchildren Madden Graham and Addalynn Grace Sisson; sister Marcelline Dawson; brothers Ralph White and Lavalle White; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband William D. “Bill” Sisson; parents Raymond Cline White and Alice Christine White; sister Gwendolyn White; and brothers Raymond D. White, Ted White, and Larry Wayne White.
The pallbearers will be her grandsons William Sisson, Christopher Roland, Tyler Covington, Corey Sisson, Mark Covington, Jacob Sisson, Cameron Coile, Devin Sisson and Joseph Covington.

Memorials in Honor of Mrs. Sisson can be made to Midway Baptist Church in Meridian, Mississippi.
