Michael Edward Alexander

Graveside Services for Mr. Michael Edward Alexander will begin at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Robinson Ridge Cemetery located at 1835 Green Road Beechgrove, TN, 37018 with Reverend Paul Tucker officiating. Interment will follow graveside rites. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Michael Edward Alexander of Meridian passed away quietly with family by his side in the early morning hours on July 26th, 2025.

Born on February 10, 1955, in Norfolk, VA to Jimmy and Ann Alexander, Mike was raised in East Nashville, TN, where he grew up at the YMCA life guarding, playing sports, fishing, and doing anything outdoors. Mike was a graduate of Stratford High School and began his career working and managing restaurants in the Nashville area.

He shared his life with his wife, Debbie Alexander, for 39 years of loving marriage. Together they raised two daughters, Sarah Beth and Catie, in Meridian and opened two restaurants, which brought Mike great joy to provide for the community. Mike never met a stranger. He would often stop by his guests’ tables to ask about their families, their day, and sometimes found himself caught up in long conversations. He had a passion for bass fishing and frequently competed in tournaments alongside his longtime friend, Greg Hill.

His most recent and greatest joy was showing pictures of his grandson, Finn, to everyone he could. Spending time with Finn and family on his bass boat were some of his fondest memories. He was known for his loyalty, kindness, work ethic, love for all animals, but most of all, his family. Mike will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

Mike is survived by his wife, Debbie Alexander; daughters, Sarah Beth Alexander and Catie Alexander (Blake Jones); grandson, Finn Alexander; sister, Deb Odle (Kirt), and brother, Brian Alexander; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Ann Alexander; and his grandparents, Frank and Etheleen Alexander and Robert and Hattie Lou Morgan.

Pallbearers will be Greg Hill, Michael Hill, Blake Jones, Bill Malone, Kirt Odle, and Brian Alexander. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Farrar, Steve Farrar, and Jeff Farrar.

The Alexander Family suggests memorials be made as donations to  Roadside Rescue,P.O. Box 921 Marion, MS 39342 or to East Mississippi Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 3162 Meridian, MS 39303 in lieu of floral offerings.

The Alexander Family will receive guests, Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
