Funeral services for Mr. Mike “Too Tall” Reed will begin at 11:00 AM Monday, February 19, 2024, at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Steve Wilson and Hap Bruce officiating. Interment will follow at Old Marion Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Reed, 64, of Brandon, died Monday, February 5, 2024, in Rankin County, MS.
“Too Tall”, as he was known by his friends, was born and raised in Meridian. He loved racing and riding motorcycles and horses in his youth. He worked as a Crane Operator, traveling the world with his work. He loved being “Pawpaw” to his grandchildren who were his pride and joy. Mike was also a spokesman for the High Seas Rally promoting Organ donation through his testimony as a Kidney Transplant Recipient.
Mike is survived by his children, Thomas Reed (Carrie) and Joshua Reed (MaCayla); grandchildren, Everly Grace Reed, Stetson Layne Reed, and Emery Jane Reed; his mother, Ramona Sneed (Joe); his sister, Tina Weil (Carl), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Mr. Reed is preceded by his father, Boney Lee Reed; his siblings, Robert Reed and Ramona Cunningham; his niece, Sarah Elizabeth Reed; and his dear friend, Chip Cook.
Pallbearers will be Tim Smith, Stephen David, Neal Reed, Keith Reed, Todd Reed, and Charles Cunningham. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. David Newell, Tom McBeth, Sandy McBeth, and Phillip Boler.
