Graveside services for Mildred Pearl Haile Black will be held Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Jason Davidson officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Black, age 90, of Meridian, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Black was born February 2, 1925 in Missouri, to Virgil and Minnie Haile. Survivors include her children, Tana Massey (D.L. Buddy), Roy Black (Elena), David Black (Kathy) all of Meridian, MS, Debbie Sharp (Chris) of Porterville, MS, and Charles Black (Martha) of Burlington, W. VA.; sisters, Wanda Wilcoxson of Jonesboro, AR, Frankie Richardson of West Palm Beach, FL, and Laveda Robbins of Ecru, MS; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Ocel Roy Black; parents; and nine siblings. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to your favorite charity. Pallbearers will be C.J. Adkins, Coby Adkins, Matthew Davidson, Canaan Sharp, Ben Black, and Nicholaus Black.
