Mildred S. Nelson Services for Mildred S. Nelson will be held Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 2:00 at Bonita United Methodist Church with Reverends Davey Wilkinson, Jimmy Harrison and Lewis May officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Bonita. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Nelson, of Russell Community stepped into the light with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at the Mississippi Care Center of Dekalb at the age of 89. She was a lifelong member of Bonita United Methodist Church where she served as pianist for many years. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family, housework, yard work, serving others and her church. She is survived by her sons, Jerry Nelson and his wife Mary Jane of Dekalb, Bill Nelson and his wife Kay of Meridian; sister, Gloria Wilkerson of the Klondike Community; brother, Warren Stewart and his wife Joyce of Columbus, MS; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Will A. Nelson; parents, Owen K. and Nettie B. Stewart; brothers, Lytle and his wife Edna Earl, James Kendall and Owen Kendall Stewart; sister Edna Elouise Stewart.
